A woman has admitted dangerous driving and crashing her car into a wall in Boroughbridge.
Lowri Pratt appeared before Harrogate Magistrates Court on Thursday (October 15) where she spoke to confirm her name, date of birth and address.
Pratt, 26, admitted dangerous driving, failing to stop after an accident and failing to report an accident to police on May 10 this year.
Georgina Fishwick, prosecuting, told the court that the 26-year-old had been driving at high speed on Springfield Grove and Ladywell Road at 4pm.
The prosecutor said that Pratt had driven in a “dangerous manner”, which led to her colliding with a wall of a property on Springfield Grove.
Ms Fishwick said after the accident, Pratt, of Harclay Garth in Boroughbridge, got out of her car but did not report the collision or speak with the property owner.
She said:
This is a case of dangerous driving. She has driven at a high speed in a dangerous manner.
Sean Wilson, defending, requested that the case be adjourned for a pre-sentence report to be prepared.
Magistrates adjourned the case for a hearing at Harrogate Magistrates Court on November 13, 2026.
