A Harrogate not-for-profit care provider raised more than £18,000 at its annual Christmas ball.
Harrogate Neighbours, which was launched in the late 1960s, is a charitable organisation that works to support the district’s elderly residents.
It offers residential care, home care services and has a community hub in Starbeck.
Its eighth Christmas ball, which was called The Magic of Christmas, was held on December 5 at Rudding Park Hotel.
The 180 guests enjoyed a Love Actually-inspired performance by gospel choir, Sankofa, as well as dancing and a charity raffle.
Sue Cawthray, chief executive at Harrogate Neighbours, said the organisation was “absolutely thrilled by the success of this year’s event”, which saw £18,500 raised.

Harrogate Neighbours said the money will be used to improve packaging and delivery for its daily ‘meals on wheels’ service.
The funds raised will also go towards supporting the charity’s community hub on Starbeck’s High Street, which opened last year.
Ms Cawthray added:
The Magic of Christmas truly lived up to its name – the atmosphere was incredible, and we are overwhelmed by the generosity of everyone who attended.
Every penny raised will help us further develop our Meals on Wheels service so we can reach even more people who depend on a hot meal and a friendly face. We are deeply grateful for the ongoing support from local businesses and our wonderful community who make everything we do possible.
The charity also operates two residential care sites, one in Boroughbridge called Heath Lodge Community Haven and one in Harrogate called The Cuttings.
