Held every second Saturday in June since 1966, it showcases a display of creatively decorated beds that have been turned into makeshift boats to cross the river.
This year's theme is ‘Great Inventions and Technology Through the Ages’ and the gruelling 2.4-mile course is a feat in strength for participants, but there’s plenty of encouragement from spectators to keep them going.

The Royal Hall in Harrogate gets some big names that come to town, especially when it comes to comedians – just look at its annual Harrogate Comedy Festival that it holds every autumn, for example.
One of these big names coming to town sooner than that is Ed Gamble who is touring with his new stand-up show, Hot Diggity Dog.

During Friday night's show, he will be talking about his thoughts on topical subjects. Be quick though as there’s not many tickets left.
