The NiddArt Trail is taking place from August 15 to 25.
It will showcase the diverse skills of artists, craftspeople and makers in and around the communities of Nidderdale and its Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

The venue-based trail will display the work of artists, artisans, photographers, workshops, galleries, paintings, ceramics, jewellery, photography, prints, textiles, glass and wood.
There is also an online gallery of the work of artists and craftspeople on the trail and other local people displaying online only.

Feva in Knaresborough is continuing this week.
The annual arts festival that hosts a range of free and paid-for events such as live music, spoken word and art exhibitions, and is taking place until August 17.
First held in 1996, it’s one of the town’s main events of the year, with many shops decorated in promotional pink as part of a window competition organised by Knaresborough and District Chamber.
The key headliner, Picnic in the Park, is a free afternoon event featuring bands and DJs and is taking place on Saturday, August 16.

Pateley Bridge Makers Yard
The Summer Open Studios & Artisan Market at Pateley Makers Yard will take place this weekend. The event will feature open studios, a bustling artisan market, live music, street food and a bar.
Visitors can explore the creative spaces of resident makers, including stonemasons, sculptors, antique dealers, and jewellers, and browse pop-up exhibitions from local artists who are from or around Pateley Bridge.
The market will showcase handcrafted ceramics, textiles, fine art and woodwork.

The Harrogate & District Allotment Federation will be holding its 64th Annual Allotment Show in the Sun Pavilion in Valley Gardens on Sunday, August 17.
The event provides allotment plot holders from across Harrogate, Ripon, Knaresborough and Boroughbridge with the opportunity to showcase their gardening achievements, which range from prize fruit and vegetables to beautiful flowers; and to exhibit their perfect baking and preserves made from homegrown produce.
There are many different classes to enter – fruit and vegetables, flowers and baking, as well as classes for novices, children and the whole family. There are also plenty of stalls, including plants, produce, cakes, books, a tombola and a prize raffle, and there are stalls run by local charities, artisans and environmental groups. A band will also keep everyone entertained in the afternoon.

Calcutt Gala and Family Day is taking place this week at Knaresborough Forest Cricket Ground on Sunday.
Expect fun for all the family that will include bouncy castles, a tractor, a tombola, kids' games and races, live bands, bars and a barbecue, to name just some of the goings-on.
