Try this immersive experience

It’s the last weekend to see Castle Howard’s Alice in Wonderland-themed event.

The grand country house’s halls and regal rooms have been adorned with decorations from the famous story where Alice accidentally falls down the rabbit hole.

The 12 Days of Christmas festive trail takes place at Bolton Abbey

Take part in a festive trail

It’s the last weekend to take part in Bolton Abbey’s 12 Days of Christmas trail.

Pick up an activity sheet from the car park kiosk on arrival and begin the trail at the Cavendish Strid.

This will lead you up to Strid Wood where you can get to work solving the clues based on the popular song. The family activity is suitable for wheelchairs and pushchairs and dogs are welcome on a lead.

The trail is included in the Estate’s car parking price (you do not need to buy any additional tickets) and it is recommended to park in the Riverside car park, every day 9am-4pm, until January 6.

Go to Harrogate’s panto

Harrogate's panto has received rave reviews of Beauty and the Beast; read ours here.

A tradition for many families, the classic tale tells the story that beauty is only skin-deep; expect clever jokes, funny skits and OTT costumes.

Written by Harrogate Theatre’s David Bown, seats have sold fast but there’s still some availability for the New Year shows.

From £15, various times, until January 19, Harrogate Theatre, 6 Oxford Street, Harrogate, HG1 1QF.
