This year’s show will welcome actors from a wide range of franchises including Christopher Eccleston, Paul McGann and Colin Baker from Doctor Who, Kristian Nairn from Game of Thrones, Giancarlo Esposito from Breaking Bad and The Mandalorian, and Mara Wilson from Matilda.

Outside of the celebs, attendees can get their picture taken with some of the unique props and set builds, watch the cosplayers strut their stuff on stage – or join them – and test their skills in the retro and modern gaming areas.

Various prices, from 9am for early entry, from 11am for standard entry, June 22-23, The Yorkshire Event Centre, Great Yorkshire Showground, HG2 8NZ.

Learn all about wildflowers

Wildflowers make for a beautiful display of colour in any garden, and they provide food for pollinators like bees and butterflies, as well as other insects.

If you’d like to know more about these blooms, why not take a beginner’s course to learn more about them in the Dales village of Buckden?

Attendees will get an introduction to British wildflower families, covering a mixture of the more common and some unusual species, with an opportunity to identify these in the field.

£65, 10am-5pm, June 22, Buckden Village Institute, Buckden, Skipton, BD23 5JA.
