Always the Crow

Listen to some live local music

On Saturday evening, there will be a fundraiser for St Michael’s Hospice at Six Poor Folk in Knaresborough.

The evening will feature songs from local band Always the Crow.

Mike Rolland of Always the Crow told The Stray Ferret:

We cannot wait to play on September 27, and hope to raise a good chunk of money for the hospice. We will be playing many songs that people know, and some songs they may not. Mostly acoustic. Lots of four-part harmony. It’s going to be great.

There will also be a raffle, and tickets will be available to purchase on the day.

Tickets £11.55, live music from 7pm to 10pm, September 27, Six Poor Folk, 25 Castle Gate, Knaresborough, HG5 8AR.

See the Cuore Orchestra at the Royal Hall

This will be the first concert of the season for Cuore, an orchestra based in Yorkshire that aims to bring high-quality performances to the region.

Since launching in May, the group has earned critical acclaim.

The 35-piece orchestra will return to the Royal Hall this Saturday, collaborating with Oxana Shevchenko and performing works by Beethoven and Mendelssohn.

Ms Shevchenko is an internationally acclaimed pianist and will perform as a soloist at Saturday’s concert.

Tickets from £15, 7.30pm, September 27, Royal Hall, Ripon Road, Harrogate, HG1 2SY.
