Harrogate Business Improvement District (BID) has announced the return of the Floral Summer of Celebration.

The trail will return from Friday July 3, and will be on display for three weeks celebrating both Harrogate’s floral heritage but also the 60th anniversary of Harrogate International Festivals.

The floral instalments will be dotted all across the town centre in an effort to support local businesses and the Harrogate highstreets as a whole.

Meanwhile, Harrogate BID will also be aiming to win at the Yorkshire Bloom awards with the trail.

After picking up gold recognition or awards at the last four years of Yorkshire in Bloom, along with picking up gold at the Britain in Bloom Awards last year in the small city category.

Bethany Allen, Operations Manager at Harrogate BID, said:

The Floral Summer of Celebration is always a fantastic event to deliver, and it’s great to see the positive response it receives from businesses, residents and visitors each year.

We are proud of the success the trail has achieved in Yorkshire in Bloom over recent years, and we’re excited to build on that as we aim for Gold once again in 2026.

The collaboration between businesses, organisations and floral partners across Harrogate is what makes initiatives like this possible, and we can’t wait to reveal what’s planned for this year’s displays.

Meanwhile, Martin Mann, chief executive of Harrogate District Chamber of Commerce which is sponsoring the event, said:

We are delighted to be sponsoring the Floral Summer of Celebration again in 2026.

It is exactly the sort of initiative the Chamber loves to get behind, bringing colour to the town centre, drawing visitors in and giving local businesses a welcome lift through the summer months.

The BID team put an enormous amount of care into the trail every year, and the results speak for themselves. We are proud to play our part once again in showcasing the very best of Harrogate.

Further details about the this year’s theme, displays and their locations will be announced by Harrogate BID over the coming weeks.
