Harrogate BID is delighted to launch a promotion to encourage pupils to give the gift of shopping in Harrogate to their favourite teachers at the end of the school year.
The Harrogate Gift Card can be spent in almost 100 businesses across the town, with firms ranging from various sectors in retail, hospitality and more, so it could make a great gift for your child's top teachers this year.
The Business Improvement District (BID) team organises a similar promotion every year in a bid to not only push gift card sales at a key time of year but also to offer the opportunity for families to purchase the ideal present for their children's treasured teachers.
Bethany Allen, Operations and Projects Executive at Harrogate BID, said:
Teachers have been working very hard to support our town’s students through the latest academic year, so they deserve the perfect present as a big thank you!
Go top of the class with the Harrogate Gift Card, as it helps you to cover all bases, with many businesses across our town now accepting it – with the hope of further additions over the coming months.
It’s a great way of locking spending within our local economy too, so if you’re looking for that stand-out present, the gift of Harrogate really could be the answer.
The initiative encourages potential customers to shop local throughout the year, as it can be used in businesses ranging across all sectors – from bars and restaurants to hair salons, hotels and cafés!
In previous years, similar promotions have seen more than £5,000 worth of Harrogate Gift Cards purchased, highlighting the popularity and the excellent offering available through using the card.
Fully funded by Harrogate BID, the gift card scheme aims to keep money within the town’s economy, as it can only be spent with the registered companies, not out of town or online. Since its inception in 2019, the scheme has locked in more than £170,000 into the Harrogate economy.
The BID team organises different promotional campaigns throughout the year to encourage visitors and residents to purchase the Harrogate Gift Card. From wedding presents to that Valentine’s Day gift for that special someone, the gift card has you covered.
The Gift Card is available in both physical and digital formats, making it easily accessible for all. Once a digital Gift Card has been purchased, it can be accessed via an app, which can then easily be downloaded into your phone’s wallet.
The Gift Cards can also be purchased from several venues in Harrogate town centre, including the Bus Station, Mercer Art Gallery and the Turkish Baths.
