NHS discount on funerals

A Ripon funeral company is offering a discount to NHS staff and emergency service workers who hold a Blue Light Card.

Rushton Family Funerals said the initiative was a "gesture of gratitude" for the commitment, dedication and selflessness shown by healthcare professionals, paramedics, police officers, firefighters, and other emergency service personnel.

Managing director Luke Rushton said:

We often work closely with the emergency services within our community and understand the incredible sacrifices made by those in the NHS and emergency services.

In appreciation of their tireless efforts, we wanted to make this gesture and ensure that they and their families receive compassionate and dignified funeral services at a reduced cost.

A Blue Light Card provides people working in the NHS, emergency services, social care sector and armed forces with discounts at participating businesses.
