Supplies Web of Harrogate has donated one tonne of food, toiletries, and pet food to local food banks.
The company set the challenge last year and has since been working with clients and staff to donate the items.
Over the last 18 months 99% of donations have gone to Harrogate’s foodbank and staff from Supplies Web have been volunteering at the centres.
Company director Paul Graves said:
We’re extremely proud of this achievement, helping lots of local people, in difficult times.
Appleton's butchers Christmas lights 2024
Appleton’s Butchers has announced a series of festive and charitable activities for Christmas 2024.
A highlight will be the illumination of Appleton’s Ripon shop, supported by Lights4Fun.
For Christmas 2024, Appleton’s has teamed up with JennyRuth Workshop, a local charity that supports individuals with learning disabilities, to offer a unique, limited-edition chopping board. All proceeds from these boards will benefit JennyRuth, aiding in their mission to provide vocational training and employment skills.
Anthony Sterne, owner of Appleton’s Butchers, said:
We’re thrilled to bring some Christmas sparkle to our shop in Ripon and support a great cause. Our partnership with JennyRuth Workshop and Lights4Fun is about spreading cheer and helping our community, while offering delicious festive fare for the Christmas table.

LCF Law has promoted 11 members of its team.
Andrew Langton and Hana Gwyn have both become partners. Mr Langton, who leads the debt recovery team, joined LCF Law in 2014.
Ms Gwyn works with the 29-strong personal law team and has been with the firm since 2020. She will now lead the team based in the Harrogate office.
Kelly Gilbert, Will Bates and Brad Stewart have all been promoted to senior associates. Both Ms Gilbert and Mr Bates are in the disputes team while Mr Stewart is a corporate Lawyer.
Emily Hickling, Ryan Cotton and Thomas Taylor have all been promoted to associates. Both Ms Hickling and Mr Cotton within the real estate team and Mr Taylor who works in commercial and digital law.
Holly Jordan, Jonathan Gardner and Melanie Parsons have all been promoted to solicitors.

Jo Little centre manager for Copthall Bridge
Office group WorkWell has appointed a new centre manager for its Copthall Bridge office redevelopment in Harrogate town centre.
Manager Jo Little will head up operations at the fully refurbished three-floor building at Station Bridge.
Ms Little joins WorkWell from Harefield Hall in Pateley Bridge, where she was the operations and events manager.
The newly developed site at Copthall Bridge will support 360 jobs in the town and create five roles directly.
Oliver Corrigan, managing director of WorkWell, said:
Designed to meet diverse business needs across various sectors, Copthall Bridge aims to enhance productivity and promote employee well-being while raising the bar for premium office space in Harrogate. We’re delighted to have Jo in position as we launch this stunning new addition to the serviced office scene.

Raworths has promoted two senior solicitors to partner and leadership roles.
Heather Roberts, who joined Raworths as legal director in 2023, has been promoted to partner and head of commercial property.
Senior associate, John Carter, who joined Raworths in 2013, has also been promoted to partner.
