A Harrogate recycling company has announced its expansion overseas with the opening of a dedicated sales office in Lithuania.
The move marks a significant milestone for Clearpoint Recycling, which has seen a 20% year-on-year increase in sales volumes and now turns over £15 million annually.
The aim of the expansion is to strengthen the company’s presence in mainland Europe and position it for further growth.
Mark Garrett, managing director of Clearpoint Recycling, said:
Expanding our footprint to Lithuania provides a gateway to Europe, something we have needed more than ever since Brexit.
Our core strategy is to source locally and sell globally — so it is important to be globally connected. Alongside this, our commitment to compliance, legal export, and complete clarity and transparency, will eliminate any uncertainty and poor practice within the industry.
This move not only bolsters our ability to serve European markets, but also aligns perfectly with our growth ambitions.
Lithuania, as an EU member state, offers Clearpoint Recycling access to the broader European market. Clearpoint said the country’s business-first environment was "ideally suited to support the company to grow and scale efficiently".
Mr Garrett added:
The changes in National Insurance announced by the UK Government in the last year’s budget has made growing the UK increasingly difficult. The landscape is totally different in Lithuania and means we can offer significantly more opportunities, especially to younger people looking to enter the exciting field of recycling.
Sales team leader Miglė Vidžiūnaitė will lead the Lithuania office. He said:

Office move
Inhealthcare, a leading provider of remote monitoring services for the NHS, has relocated across Harrogate from Beckwith Knowle to Windsor House.
The move has been welcomed by David Skaith, Mayor of York and North Yorkshire, as a sign of the region's growing strength in technology and innovation.

Award nod for Harrogate lawyer
A Harrogate solicitor has been shortlisted for a prestigious award at the Legal 500 Northern Powerhouse Awards 2025.
Alison Walker, partner and joint head of Trust, Wills and Estates (TWE) at Raworths, has been shortlisted for Private Client Lawyer of the Year.
Her nomination marks the second year in a row that one of the Raworths’ team has been shortlisted in the Legal 500 Northern Powerhouse Awards. Head of Family, Carmelita Ardren, was recognised in the same category last year.
