Before the sun came up a group of car enthusiasts from Harrogate and beyond parked up in the town centre today for Classic Car Sunday.
The cars were an electic mix- reflecting the love, taste and budget of their owners. This month, the group set up around Princes Square attracting a wide range of car lovers, young and old. Café Marconi opened and kept everyone fuelled with caffiene.
The Stray Ferret went along to find out more.

Jeremy Thain, the proud owner of a 1983, 1275 Mini Cooper S
Jeremy Thain from Harrogate has spent a long time rebuilding his beloved Mini Cooper S.
He was introduced to Classic Car Sunday by the founder and has loved it:
We've got everything here from brand new Porsches and Ferraris to my car and much older. It's gone from about a dozen cars to us blocking the centre of Harrogate up!
I've had my car for six years now and I've completely rebuilt it.

James Skaith, founder of Classic Car Sunday
Mr Thain's friend, the founder of Classic Car Sunday, James Skaith, says he's always been a fan of cars and wanted to set something up that gave owners an opportunity to share their passion:
It's getting people out, enjoying their cars with whatever car they've got and giving them a reason to drive their car. Alot of these cars will sit in a garage, won't turn a wheel. This gives people a purpose to get their cars out, to enjoy a couple of hours on a Sunday morning seeing other cars and meeting friends.
I grew up around cars and I've always been a fan of cars, my Mum had frog eyed Sprites, my Dad had every Ford you can think of. I got into car photography and going to car shows and I thought, I can do that myself.
This is open to everyone. You've got museum peices here but then you've also got cars that someone has built over 20 and 30 years.
We do a Classic Car Sunday here once a month in Princes Square from 8.30-10am. We're going to start doing some drives too.

If you think that these cars only interest an older generation, you'd be mistaken. There was a noticeably large crowd of mainly young men who are keen enthusiasts .
Seventeen year old Calvin Barton from Harrogate was there with an impressive camera taking pictures for his instagram feed.
He told the Stray Ferret that many of his friends had come along too:My Dad was into it and I grew up around it. It's always been something I've loved.
To have something going off so locally as well, it's brilliant and to see everyone come together it's fantastic. I
I've got a few friends who come, it's become quite a social thing for young people too I would say.
