A date has been announced for the Pink Party Ball, which will raise funds for the children’s cancer charity, Candlelighters.

The event is being held at The Majestic Hotel, Harrogate, on Friday 10th October 2025.

Organiser Paul Meehan says:

“It’s been a while since the last Harrogate Candlelighters Ball, so when I was introduced to Candlelighters I wanted to get involved and help raise some money. After a coffee with Sue Patterson (former chair of Harrogate Candlelighters) The Pink Party idea was hatched.

“This will be a black tie event and the chance to wear that pink party frock and dance the night away to party band HUGE, who are known for their high-energy performances and audience interaction.

Paul says:

'It will be an amazing night you don’t want to miss, with 300 guests all playing their part to make a difference, through the valuable work of Candlelighters.”

For over 40 years, Candlelighters has been a lifeline for families in Yorkshire facing childhood cancer. When a child is diagnosed, everything changes in an instant, and Candlelighters is there to provide comfort, strength, and support every step of the way.

Candlelighters won the Charitable Excellence Award this year at the Yorkshire Choice Awards recognising the positive impact Candlelighters makes to children and their families at the darkest times.

Harrogate Candlelighters Balls has always been the go-to event in Harrogate, raising hundreds of thousands of pounds for such a great charity. It is brilliant to see individuals and businesses support with such generosity and we know this year our guests will dig deep to make a difference.

Members of the Candlelighters Development Board, a group of volunteers who help raise awareness and funds, have got behind this event, which is nearly a sell-out. There are just five tables left, so get in quick! A table of 10 is priced at £1,000.

Even if you can’t attend, there are ways you can still make a difference. You can advertise in the Pink Party Brochure, which guests will receive on the night, or donate prizes for the Giving Tree, Raffle and Auction.
