A section of the Dishforth Road beyond the turn offs to the villages of Sharow, Copt Hewick and Marton-le-Moor, will remain closed until later today (February 4)
The closure, on the approaches to the the A1, will remain in place while communications company Openreach carries out cabling work near a mobile phone mast located next to the road.

The work began yesterday and is scheduled to be complete by this afternoon.
In the meantime, a number of 'road ahead closed' signs are in place from the Ripon bypass roundabout to the area where the work is underway.
