A consultation has opened into a sports area in Jennyfields which is in “poor condition”.
North Yorkshire Council has launched the survey into the green space near to the Harrogate Leisure and Wellbeing Hub on Jennyfield Drive.
The authority said £70,000 worth of funding has been allocated from developer contributions to help improve the space.
The area is a large open space with a hard surface basketball court.
But, the council said the site has since fallen into poor condition and is need of improvement.
It said:
This area is currently in a poor condition, and we're looking to develop a new plan to further improve this local green space.
This public consultation will gather opinions from residents and park users, helping the council to understand what improvements are needed. The consultation report will be used to inform the final proposals.
The public consultation into the Jennyfield Drive sports area can be found here. It closes on July 1.
