A creditors' meeting has been called at a Starbeck restaurant to nominate a liquidator.
The company behind Starbeck Tandoori, an Indian restaurant which is based on High Street, has called the meeting for December 1.
Burhan Uddin Khan, director of Starbeck Tandoor Ltd, posted a notice in The Gazette, a journal of public record, announcing the virtual meeting of creditors.
The notice said the meeting had been called under the Insolvency (England and Wales) Rules 2016, which allows for the nomination of a liquidator.
It adds:
Notice is hereby given, pursuant to Rule 15.13 of the Insolvency (England and Wales) Rules 2016 that the Director of the above named Company (the 'convener') is seeking a decision from creditors on the nomination of a Liquidator by way of a virtual meeting. A resolution to wind up the Company is to be considered on 1 December 2025.
The restaurant has won awards in recent years, including from the Bangladesh Caterers Association for innovation, presentation of food, hygiene standards and customer service in 2022.
Owner Burhan Uddin Khan collected the award from hosts Greg Wallace and TV presenter Tasmin Lucia-Khan at the black-tie event at the Park Plaza London.
The Stray Ferret approached Starbeck Tandoori seeking comment on the public notice, but had not received a response.
