Cyclist seriously injured in Leathley

Police are appealing for witnesses to an incident in which a cyclist was seriously injured in Leathley to come forward.
According to a North Yorkshire Police statement today (September 7), a man in his late 50s from Otley “came off his bicycle when travelling downhill on the B6161 Leathley Lane”.
It happened on Tuesday, August 11 .
The statement added:
Paramedics treated him at the scene before he was taken to hospital by ambulance for urgent treatment. He is continuing to receive medical care.
To assist our enquiries, we are appealing for people to come forward who may have witnessed the incident or recall seeing a man on a bicycle or other vehicles nearby at around that time.
We are also urging motorists who have recorded relevant dashcam footage to get in touch without delay.
