The Saturday DalesBus 59 service between Harrogate and Skipton will operate a revised route and timetable this weekend due to the emergency closure of the A59 road at Kex Gill.
North Yorkshire Council announced this afternoon the road would close from 6.30pm tonight due to a cracked verge. Traffic lights had been in place.
Dales and Bowland Community Interest Company, which runs the DalesBus, responded by amending its service tonight.
It said buses will run via Otley and Ilkley, and will not call at Blubberhouses or Bolton Bridge.
They will depart from Harrogate Bus Station at 930am and 330pm and from Skipton Bus Station at 11am and 5pm, stopping only at Harrogate Bus Station, Otley Grove Hill Park, Ilkley Skipton Road, Chelker Reservoir, Overdale Park, Embsay Road Junction, The Bailey, Skipton High Street and Skipton Bus Station.
The company added in a statement:
The council only announced the closure three hours before it came into place and has not said how long the road is expected to be closed.
