Thieves stole jewellery including a diamond necklace and diamond bracelet from a house in Harrogate this week.
A North Yorkshire Police statement tonight (April 30) said the incident happened on Cavendish Avenue, near St Aidan's Church of England High School, between 10.25pm on April 26 and just after 1am in the early hours of April 27.
The statement added:
The suspects broke into the property and search through it, leaving the house in disarray before they left with items of jewellery including a butterfly-shaped diamond necklace a tennis diamond bracelet, numerous gold chains, a silver Seko watch and a number of other watches.
We are appealing to local residents to check any doorbell video and private CCTV cameras to see if the suspects have been caught on camera in the run up to the break-in or afterwards when they left the property.
Officers also want to hear from anyone who saw any suspicious people in the area or who may have captured the suspects on dashcam if they were driving through the area.
Anyone with information is urged to call 101 and pass information to the force control room, quoting reference 12260075279.
If you prefer to remain anonymous, you can pass information to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 or online via its website.
