It might be rare to hear Harrogate and Italy mentioned in the same sentence, but for Arran Leyland and his father Mark, it’s much more common than you might think.

Collectively they run Italian Tiles Outlet and have been supplying beautiful tiles - sourced directly from Italy - for customers across North Yorkshire for over a decade.

For Arran, entering the industry was a natural move to make. Growing up, his family owned a successful tile showroom and he was introduced to the world of luxury tiles from an early age.

He explained:

Dad has been in the industry for over 35 years, and in many ways, I’ve been part of it too all my life, so it was always a natural fit for me to join the team.

The first Italian Tiles Outlet store opened in Skipton 12 years ago and, due to popular demand in the area, a Harrogate branch opened in 2022.

Using their extensive knowledge, Arran, Mark and the team exclusively source and sell Italian tiles – known for their quality and stunning designs – from some of the country’s most prestigious manufacturers.

Specialising in porcelain floor tiles for kitchens, as well as the latest bathroom designs, there's options to suit many different requirements, and the team are happy to help customers find solutions that work best for them.

Over the years, Italian Tiles Outlet has assisted both trades companies and members of the public bring their vision to life.

One of the largest local projects to date has been supplying luxury bathroom tiles for a large Harrogate retirement development.

Arran said:

From someone’s downstairs bathroom to bigger residential buildings, we’re able to help with it all.

Italian Tiles Outlet source and stock tiles direct from the factory, to ensure the lowest prices can be passed onto both trade and public customers.

With the Harrogate showroom open six days a week and conveniently located on Knaresborough Road, the friendly team are always happy to greet new visitors and share their advice.

Arran added:

Our team are all really passionate about the products we sell – we’re all tile nerds essentially.

We believe Italian floor and wall tiles are the best as they’re at the forefront of innovation in the industry.
