Firefighters have tackled a house fire caused by a group of dogs inside a property in Harrogate.
North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service’s incident log said crews from Harrogate and Knaresborough responded to reports of a house fire at 12.55pm. It did not provide a street name.
The log said the fire started in the kitchen and was caused by dogs “jumping up and switching the cooker on”.
It added:
Firefighters were deployed wearing breathing apparatus and rescued three dogs inside the property.
They extinguished the fire using a hose reel jet.
No further information, including the extent of the damage, has been released.
