The head judge of the Stray Ferret Business Awards says that businesses should not be shy about their successes and is urging local businesses to enter.
Niall Gunn is CEO of Prosperis, the Harrogate-based financial adviser which is sponsoring the awards for the fourth year in a row.
He said:
Local business awards are a great way to recognise what we all do well locally, and businesses should not be shy about shouting loudly about their successes.
All too often, hardworking businesses, big and small, don’t get the opportunity to recognise their successes. The Stray Ferret Business Awards does that really well and it’s important that local business supports this as, in turn, it supports what we all do on a day-to-day basis.
The award categories also go a long way to recognise individual employees who go the extra mile to help their employers achieve. Getting recognition for this is a great way to advertise how good an employer you are and that you give your employees the opportunity to shine.
For employers, this is the opportunity to tell everyone – including your competitors – how good you are and how good your team is!
Every business shortlisted for an award will receive a free ticket to the awards ceremony – a superb black-tie event with 350 guests in the Pavilions of Harrogate on March 26.
The Stray Ferret Business Awards recognise the brightest and best of the region’s business talent across all sectors.
They are open to entrants from across the Harrogate district, including Boroughbridge, Harrogate, Knaresborough, Masham, Nidderdale, Ripon and the surrounding areas.
Entering is easy, free of charge, and can be done via the Business Awards website, here. The closing date for entries is Wednesday, January 28.
