After weeks of delays, Knaresborough Town's new big-name striker is expected to finally make his debut for the club this week.
Ex-Leeds United captain and Scotland international Ross McCormack signed for Knaresborough last month, but has missed the last three matches because he was waiting for clearance to play from the Scottish Football Association to play in England.
He has most recently been playing for Giffnock Town in Glasgow.
The application to play for Knaresborough had been lodged but is believed to have been held up for the last couple of weeks by the English FA.
However, clearance finally came through on Friday – slightly too late logistically for Saturday's home tie against Retford FC, but in good time for Tuesday's away fixture against Golcar United in the first round of the West Riding County Cup.

Joint managing director Neil Reaney with Ross McCormack.
Knaresborough Town co-chairman Rob Northfield told the Stray Ferret:
We're all excited. With Ross we now have a team that can challenge for the league title.
We've just been named Northern Counties East Premier League Club of the Month, which is based on both form and discipline. We're top of the David Morrall Fair Play League too, so it's all going OK at the moment.
Knaresborough Town are currently in third place in the Northern Counties East League Premier Division – the ninth tier of the English league football pyramid – and have only lost two of their last 10 matches.
