The Environment Agency has issued a flood alert for the upper reaches of the River Nidd after recent rain.
A yellow weather warning is in place until 3pm this afternoon as Strom Bram brings rain and high winds.
The Nidd flood alert, which was last updated at 8.12pm last night (December 8), extends from Middlesmoor to Dacre.
The Environment Agency said:
Forecast rising river levels overnight may lead to flooding. Flooding is possible from the morning of December 9 due to rainfall associated with Storm Bram.
Locations most affected will be low lying land and roads near the upper River Nidd and its tributaries including How Stean Beck, Blayshaw Gill, Ramsgill Beck, Lul Beck, Foster Beck, Fosse Gill, Fell Beck and Darley Beck.
We are closely monitoring the situation. Take care and avoid walking, cycling or driving through flood water.
