A local man has pleaded not guilty to assaulting someone in Harrogate.
Ahmed Safavi, of an address in Follifoot, appeared at Harrogate Magistrates Court on Friday (October 24), when he spoke only to confirm his name and address.
He is charged with one offence of assault by beating, which he denied.
It is alleged Mr Safavi assaulted a named man by beating him on Hookstone Avenue on March 22 this year.
The case was adjourned for trial until February 12, 2026, when the 57-year-old defendant will return to Harrogate Magistrates Court.
