Snow has fallen steadily in the Harrogate district today, prompting some schools and attractions to close early. You can read our blog with all today's updates here.
With rain forecast, the snow isn't expected to last long but children in particular have been making the most of the first dollop of freshly laid snow this year.

This picture showed young Tobias travelling in style.
Cllr Keane Duncan, who is also the Tory mayoral candidate in North Yorkshire, had less fund when his campercan careered off the road between Lofthouse and Masham. It's never the easiest road to navigate even on sunny days.
Pete Durkin sent us this sumptuous photo of perhaps the district's most famous view — Knaresborough viaduct.
Five-year-old Sofia Grace tries out the exercise bike in Killinghall. Sofia is also pictured in our main image making snow angels.
Dogs also love the snow — here's two sizing each other up on the Stray in Harrogate.
