The current relatively warm conditions are somewhat deceiving that we're in the full throes of autumn.
And this year in particular it seems that the vast spectrum of autumn colours are abundant in the Harrogate district, making for a beautiful photograph.
With shades of red, brown, oranges and yellows on the trees, and the soft, warm glow of golden sunlight, it's not hard to see why this time of year is many people's favourite season.
And with the evenings drawing in, make like the Stray Ferret team and some of its readers, and get out and about in the great outdoors with a walk in the park, stroll through the town centre or a hike in the surrounding countryside where you can see the autumn colours in their full glory.
And remember, if you capture any photographs – be it of landscape, wildlife, beautiful buildings and more – send them to letters@thestrayferret.co.uk for your chance to be selected for Photo of the Week.
