Councillors voted today to defer Harrogate Spring Water's plans to expand its bottling plant.
The water company wants to expand its plant into the nearby Rotary Wood, which would see the loss of around 500 trees.
The decision to defer the plans was made at a council meeting today, at which many members of the public arrived to protest.
The Stray Ferret was live from Harrogate’s Civic Centre, bringing coverage of the Harrogate and Knaresborough area planning committee as they made a decision.
