Luxury hotel Grantley Hall, near Ripon, is to open a pub this summer that it recently purchased in the neighbouring village of Grantley.
The hotel announced today (May 29) that Gavin Swift, who is currently its senior sous chef, will become chef patron at the Grantley Arms.
It said the pub “will offer both hotel guests and locals a relaxed yet refined setting in which to enjoy the very best of Yorkshire’s local flavours”.
The Grantley Arms, which has an outdoor terrace, will serve light lunches and evening meals
Mr Swift said:
The pub is a chance to celebrate great food in a way that feels approachable and familiar, while still upholding the high standards our guests know and love.
Grantley Hall managing director Richard Sykes said:
Grantley Arms is a proud new chapter for us, and one we’re incredibly excited to share with both our hotel guests and the local community. Whether it’s a leisurely lunch before check-in or a relaxed farewell meal after a stay, we see the pub as a natural extension of the Grantley experience – a place where quality, comfort and Yorkshire charm come together.
The actual opening dates, and opening times, are yet to be confirmed.
