Cancer Research UK’s well-known fundraising race will return to Harrogate this weekend.
The charity's Race for Life was launched more than 30 years ago to raise vital funds for research into cancer treatments, diagnosis and prevention.
It has since seen more than 10 million people take part.
Routes vary in length dependent on the location – some are 3K and others are 10K – but the Harrogate event is a five-kilometre race.
Participants will start and finish the race on the Stray, near where Oatlands Drive meets Slingsby Walk.
The race, which will be held on Sunday, is just over three miles but people can walk or run the route.
Runners – and walkers – can take part individually or as a group and can join a group warm-up session before the race starts at 11am.
Participants are advised to arrive up to an hour before the event starts and can stay to enjoy a picnic after crossing the finish line.

Oatlands Drive and Stray Rein will both be closed during the event. According to North Yorkshire Council’s roadworks map, the roads will be shut from 7am until 2pm.
Cars will not be able to park on the roads, as well as St James' Drive, during that period.
Parking is not available for the event, but blue badge holders can park at St Aidan’s School using the Bedale entrance.
Cancer Research UK said surrounding roads, where only permit holders can park, can be used as drop-off points for participants. The charity urged people to use the roads in a “safe manner”.
