Harrogate BID has started a project to restore benches around the town centre.
Street Rangers employed by the BID are undertaking the work and began on Oxford Street earlier this month.
The BID has not revealed the other locations of benches set to be restored.
The seats will be cleaned and repainted. The project is predicted to run indefinitely.
A spokesperson for Harrogate BID said:
Our street rangers will be carrying out work on the benches in key locations around the BID area. There is no timescale or additional funding for the work as the Street Rangers will be carrying it out within their regular working hours and within the ‘Pride In Our Town’ objective as Harrogate BID.
The benches provide easily accessible seating for both visitors and residents to Harrogate, so it's important they look clean and attractive.
