Harrogate family business set to celebrate 120th anniversary
A Harrogate family business is set to celebrate its 120th anniversary.
Smiths of Harrogate, a furniture store which is based on Dragon Road, was first established by Frederick Smith in 1906.
Since then, it has spent over a century trading in Harrogate and is set to host a celebration weekend for the public to attend.
A statement from the Smiths family said:
As we celebrate five generations of family ownership, we’d like to thank our customers, colleagues and local community for their continued support over the past 120 years.
Smiths of Harrogate on Dragon Road
Held from Friday, July 3, to Sunday, July 5, the event will include manufacturer demonstrations, special promotions across the store and complimentary birthday cake, tea and coffee.
There will also be an opportunity to enter a Smiths of Harrogate anniversary competition.
