A Harrogate man has been accused of a string of attempted child sex offences.
Liam Brown, 34, appeared at Harrogate Magistrates Court on Thursday (May 7) charged with three offences: attempting to engage in sexual communication with a child; attempting to incite a girl to engage in sexual activity (penetration), and attempting to cause a child to watch or look at an image of sexual activity.
Mr Brown is accused of requesting intimate images, discussing sexual activity and sending photos of his erect penis to a girl whom he did not believe was 16 or over for his own sexual gratification.
Mr Brown, of Valley Drive, also allegedly attempted to incite a girl – again, not believing she was 16 or over – to engage in sexual activity, including penetration.
He is also accused of attempting to cause a girl to look at an image of a person engaging in sexual activity - again, allegedly for his own sexual gratification.
All the alleged offences are said to have occurred between July 8 and August 1, 2024.
The case was transferred to York Crown Court, where Mr Brown is expected to enter pleas on June 8.
