A Harrogate man has been accused of attempting to cause grievous bodily harm.
Samuel Lawson, 33, appeared at Harrogate Magistrates Court yesterday (October 23) charged with two offences: possession of a knife blade/sharp pointed article in a public place and attempting to cause a man grievous bodily harm.
It is claimed Mr Lawson, of Bower Street, possessed the knife on Nydd Vale Terrace in Harrogate on May 12 last year.
The grievous bodily harm charge is alleged to have occurred at the same place on the same date.
The case was transferred to York Crown Court, where Mr Lawson is next due to appear on November 24.
