A Harrogate man has been charged with intentional strangulation.
Maxi Franks, of Redfearn Mews, had his case heard at Harrogate Magistrates Court on Friday (December 13).
Mr Franks is alleged to have intentionally strangled a named woman on November 6, 2022.
The 33-year-old is also charged with threatening a person with a blade in a public place.
Court documents claim Mr Franks threatened a woman with a knife in Harrogate on the same day.
He is additionally charged with criminal damage to property valued under £5,000. It is claimed he damaged a woman's door on November 6.
He did not issue a plea to any of the offences.
The case was transferred to York Crown Court, where Mr Franks will next appear on January 6.
