A Harrogate man has denied repeatedly breaching a sexual risk order made against him.
David North, of Ashfield Terrace, appeared at York Magistrates Court on Saturday (March 7) when he denied seven counts of breaching a sexual risk order or interim sexual risk order, one count of being an adult attempting to engage in sexual communications with a child and one count of harassment without violence.
According to court documents, Mr North allegedly attempted to have a sexualised conversation with a person whom he did not believe to be over the age of 16 for the purpose of obtaining sexual gratification on June 19, 2024.
The 38-year-old is also accused of harassing a named woman between February 15 and March 2 this year, during which he is alleged to have sent her "unwanted online communications".
Mr North is also accused of breaching a sexual risk order made on September 5 last year.
The conditions of the order are not disclosed in court documents, but the charges against Mr North all allege he behaved in a sexual manner towards various women, which was deemed "unwanted, aggressive or intimidating, including words or actions, which [he was] prohibited from doing by a sexual risk order".
The alleged offences, which all occurred recently, are said to have happened in the Harrogate area.
The case was adjourned and Mr North was due to appear at York Magistrates Court this morning (March 9) for short hearing.
