A Harrogate salon has revealed its reason for closing.
Allertons, which offered both hair and beauty treatments, opened on Montpellier Street in 2022 following a £100,000 refurbishment of the grade two-listed unit.
It then closed for eight months for another refurbishment at the beginning of January 2025, before reopening and unveiling a new on-site café.
However, prospective clients wishing to make a booking at the Harrogate site are now met with a ‘sorry, no availability’ message.
The Stray Ferret contacted Allertons for more information and an employee at its Leeds site confirmed the Harrogate location has closed.
The employee attributed the closure to staffing issues:
It was mainly for the salon, but we were just struggling to find staff.

People are no longer able to book an appointment at Allertons Harrogate.
The company’s Leeds and Nottingham salons remain open.
