A man robbed a Harrogate supermarket today (January 18) at about 7.30am.
Police crime scene tape was put up outside Morrisons Daily on King Edward’s Drive in the Bilton area after the incident.
Door-to-door enquiries took place but there have been no reports of an arrest.
North Yorkshire Police did, however, move to reassure residents by issuing a community message saying there was “no immediate threat to residents” and investigations were ongoing.
The shop reopened later in the morning as police vans remained in the area.
The Stray Ferret contacted North Yorkshire Police for further details but has not had a response.
