New supported living flats on Harrogate’s Ripon Road look set to be built by the end of the year.
The charity Harrogate Skills 4 Living, which provides services for people with learning disabilities and autism, is behind the scheme.
It was granted planning permission by North Yorkshire Council for a three-and-a-half storey building near the New Park roundabout.
The building will include six flats for people who need round-the-clock, on-hand carer support. The flats will also provide sleeping accommodation for staff.
The flats were demolished in March when one storey had been completed. The charty said at the time this was “to allow new contractors to re-start the development.”
Work has been ongoing at pace since.
The Stray Ferret approached Harrogate Skills 4 Living this week to ask for an update.

Chief executive Hadyn Moorby-Davies said:
The contractor is hoping to complete the building works at the beginning of December and work is progressing nicely towards that goal.
After that, there will be 6 to 10 weeks for the property to be signed-off at which point we’ll be ready to move residents in – all being well.
As you’ll have seen, the development has come on significantly and interior fit-out has begun with kitchens being fitted out. The individual apartments are starting to look great.
