The Saturday bus service linking Harrogate and Skipton will return this weekend, following the reopening of the A59 at Kex Gill.
North Yorkshire Council announced yesterday the A59, which has been closed since February 2, will reopen on Saturday.
The closure and lengthy detour prompted DalesBus to pause its 59 service between the two locations. But it will recommence on Saturday (June 22), the community interest company announced today.
DalesBus 59 departs from Harrogate and calls at the Nelson Inn, Blubberhouses and Bolton Bridge.
Buses leave Harrogate Bus Station at 9.45am, 11.45am, 2.45pm and 4.45pm. The service returns from Skipton Bus Station at 10.45am, 12.45pm, 3.45pm and 5.45pm.
With the return of service 59, the full summer Dalesbus timetable is now in operation. It also operates the year-round 24 bus between Pateley Bridge and Harrogate.
The single fare for any bus journey is £2, in accordance with the national cap on bus fares.
