Burn Bridge lost its pub at the weekend, when the Black Swan’s tenants closed its doors for the last time.
Owner Heineken UK intends to keep the pub, just south of Harrogate, as a going concern and is looking for someone to take it over.
A spokesperson for Star Pubs, Heineken UK’s pub arm, told the Stray Ferret:
The Black Swan, Burn Bridge was leased to an independent operator whose lease came to an end, and they chose not to renew.
To ensure the pub stays open, our short-term plan is to have a temporary operator run it whilst we recruit for a longer-term solution, in line with our investment plans for the Black Swan, which will enhance its Victorian charm inside and out.
They said that no dates had been confirmed yet, but they hoped the pub would reopen by the end of the month.
They added:
The Black Swan sits within an affluent, fast-growing village near Harrogate and offers a great opportunity for someone who wants to take on a much loved, newly refurbished pub with plenty of potential.
