Harrogate footballer Harry Gray has signed his first professional contract at Leeds United.

Gray, 17, put pen to paper on a long-term deal with the Whites yesterday (October 21).

In an interview with the club, he said he gets to “live everyone’s dream of being a fan and a player at the same time”.

The young striker is one of Leeds’ hottest youth prospects.

He has scored four goals in his first three games for the under-21s side this season. Last season, despite suffering a back injury that sidelined him for seven months, he scored seven goals in eight games.

Towards the end of last season, then-16-year-old Gray made his senior debut for Leeds during a 6-0 win against Stoke, which saw them win promotion back to the Premier League. He has featured on the bench in some Premier League and cup matches this season.

The youngster is the next heir to the legendary Gray dynasty at Leeds United.

Harry’s grandfather, Frank, and father, Andy, both played for the club. His great uncle, Eddie Gray, is a Leeds United legend who made 577 appearances.

Harry’s older brother, Archie Gray, left Leeds United to sign for Tottenham in 2024.
