Hoxton North founder Tim Bosworth has announced the Harrogate coffee shop in will close at the end of the month.
Mr Bosworth said it wasn’t an easy decision but the “operating environment and increased ongoing costs for small independent hospitality businesses have become increasingly challenging”.
Hoxton North, which describes itself as a ‘London-inspired neighbourhood restaurant’, opened 13 years ago on Royal Parade.
With its views over the Crown roundabout, it has become a popular spot for coffee and brunches.
But in a post on social media, Mr Bosworth
Hoxton North has always been about more than just food and coffee. It has been about connecting, sharing stories, and bringing a little bit of London spirit to the north.
I am incredibly proud of what we have built and deeply grateful to every customer, team member, supplier, and friend who has supported us along the way.
Mr Bosworth opened pizza bar North Slice on Cold Bath Road last year.
He said:
“The spirit of Hoxton North continues just up Cold Bath Road at North Slice, and we’d love to see familiar faces there too."
