Harrogate humanitarian, John Shackleton, is to take on his 50th and final mission next month and is searching for two more co-drivers.
Mr Shackleton, 85, has bought, stocked and driven over 30 ambulances to Eastern European countries and beyond over the last 34 years.
His last mission will see him travel to Kyiv in Ukraine. The country was invaded by Russia two years ago and conflict has continued since. This will be his third trip to Ukraine.
Mr Shackleton, along with two co-drivers, will set off on their journey in early October, but they now need two more volunteers.
He told the Stray Ferret in a pervious interview:
I definitely think it is my last [trip] my body is telling me that. I think 50 is a good number to end on.

Mr Shackleton said the vehicle will be used on the frontline to transport the “dead and wounded” to a field hospital.
I've got enough aid to fill an ambulance. I’ve been donated 25 wheelchairs, and I’ve got lots of crutches. It’s my last mission – I need to take it all.
My contacts out there have asked if we could try and bring a four-wheel-drive ambulance.

Mr Shackleton has now sourced the four-wheel drive vehicle and is need of two more co-drivers to help with the trip.
He said:
The usual ambulances we take wouldn’t last a month because of the bombing and now we need to more drivers to come with us. Anyone interested can contact me.
Mr Shackleton predicts the journey will take around a week but that the trip is very dependent on the situation in the Ukraine.
Upon delivering the emergency vehicle and aid to Kyiv, Mr Shackleton and his team will hitchhike to the nearest airport and return to the UK.
