The Stone Beck will reopen tomorrow (December 13).
Punch Pubs and Co., the owning company of the pub, announced today that Darren McCann will be the new publican.
The pub, at the Jennyfields Local Centre, has had a chequered recent history.
It was forced to shut in 2023 after police discovered it did not have a designated premises supervisor.
In 2024, former Geek Bar owner Alan Evans took over and pledged to create a community pub that would not tolerate trouble.
Mr Evans took on the Mother Shipton Inn in Knaresborough in the autumn and the Stone Beck closed again.
Andy Brady, Punch Pubs & Co operations manager, said today:
We are delighted that the Stone Beck pub in Harrogate is reopening its doors this Saturday. We also welcome Darren McCann, our new publican, who is passionate in ensuring that the Stone Beck continues to thrive at the heart of the community for many years to come.
