The big names headlining Raworths Harrogate Literature Festival have been announced.

The festival, taking place between October 11 and 25, will see national treasures and literature stars such as Kate Mosse, Prue Leith and Sophie Raworth talking about their latest publications.

Other big names that have been announced are comedian, presenter and novelist Julian Clary, Booker Prize-winning author Sir Ben Okri, Heather Morris, international bestselling author of The Tattooist of Auschwitz, and Britain's leading political analyst Sir John Curtice.

Sharon Canavar, chief executive of Harrogate International Festivals, the arts charity that organises the event, also promised “more big announcements still to come”.

The festival has been named one of the top three literary festivals in the UK by the Guardian, and is one of the main events on Harrogate International Festivals’ calendar.

The events will be held at The Crown Hotel and Cedar Court Hotel.
