List of this summer’s Open Gardens in the Harrogate district
Some of the most beautiful private gardens in the Harrogate district will take part in annual Open Gardens events this summer. Visitors can explore stunning gardens, enjoy tea and cake and raise money for good causes. Below is a list of local events. Some are still being finalised — email details to contact@thestrayferret.co.uk and we will add them.
Sunday, June 21
Marton-cum-Grafton Open Gardens and Festival 11am to 5pm
Explore over 15 private gardens during a day which also includes a traditional village fête, church floral displays, an art exhibition and children’s entertainment such as a farm animal petting area and a large inflatable slide. Food and drink will be available throughout the day, including lunches, barbecue sausages, homemade cakes, WI teas, ice creams, and a Pimm’s and Airstream bar. All proceeds will support local community projects.
Admission
Early bird tickets are £6, on-the-day admission is £7.50 for adults. Free entry for children under 16.
An open garden from a previous year's event in Knaresborough
Saturday, June 27 and Sunday, June 28
Knaresborough Open Garden 12pm to 4pm both days
Eleven gardens around Knaresborough will open to visitors. Many of them will also be serving refreshments, with some offering plant sales.
Organisers Knaresborough Horticultural Society says it is "taking into consideration all that experience and feedback to deliver a much improved experience to both visitors and hosts".
Tickets allow entry on both days.

Norton Conyers Open Garden 2pm to 4.30pm
The great house near Ripon, which is known for its peonies, will open by invitation of Sir James and Lady Graham. There will be home-made teas, lawn games and a plant sale.
