Comedian Maisie Adam visited her former school yesterday (November 2) after performing in Harrogate.
Adam was born in Pannal and attended St Aidan’s Church of England High School, becoming head girl in 2010/11.
She started stand-up five years later and is now one of Britain’s leading comedians.
She has retained strong links with the town and recently told an audience she reads the Stray Ferret.
Adam, who now lives near Brighton, was at Harrogate Theatre on Sunday for a show in support of Frank’s Fund.
The fund was set up in memory of Frank Ashton, a St Aidan’s schoolboy who died of bone cancer aged 14 in 2019.

Adam, who is a patron of the fund, met staff and pupils at St Aidan’s the day after her show.
The school posted on Facebook that it was delighted to welcome back its former head girl — a role that is now described as senate lead.
Staff and students were thrilled to see Maisie, and it was fantastic to share with her some of the latest developments at school, including our new library and sixth form lounge and study hub. She also delighted the cast of Frozen with a visit to their lunchtime rehearsal. A huge thank you to Maisie for taking the time to visit us!
