Man arrested after woman repeatedly hit in the head in Starbeck
A man has been arrested after a woman was assaulted in Starbeck last Friday (December 5).
North Yorkshire Police said in a statement today (December 8) the incident, which happened between 11.30pm and midnight, occurred on Avenue Grove.
It said the woman was “hit multiple times in the head by a male suspect”.
Police added a man was arrested in connection with the incident but has since been released on bail as enquiries continue.
The force is now appealing for witnesses. It said:
